{ Happy Weekend! }

Happy Friday, everyone! Fridays dont mean too much to me because I work on weekends, but don't feel too sorry for me because I have plenty to look forward to.

On Monday I am heading to Chicago to kick off Wedding Week at the BHLDN event for The Everygirl on Tuesday.

I cannot wait to meet Alaina and Danielle, the two lovely ladies behind The Everygirl, who I correspond with everyday but have never met in person, as well as many other lovely ladies that I'm sure will be in attendance. Not to mention, there will be cupcakes and cocktails. Sold.

Each time I think about stepping foot back into the beautiful city that is Chicago, my heart does a little pitter patter. I cannot believe how lucky I am to be spending my summer there interning for Jess Constable and doing some work for The Everygirl. I don't know how or why I was granted such blessings, but I am so, so thankful.

I had a pretty awesome week, aside from the fact that I did nothing but work.

This happened! Must take a moment just to smile at how lucky I've been lately to receive so many amazing opportunities from amazing people). I can still hardly believe it. I have a potential opportunity at work that will help me save more money for my summer in Chicago. And tonight is date night! I haven't seen Treasure (my boyfriend, if you are a new reader. His real name is Trevor, and the nickname came from my three year old cousin at the time) all week despite the fact that we live streets apart. It's been hectic and the poor guy has been working like crazy. I'm so glad that we'll finally get to spend a little time together before another crazy week commences (even though I work all weekend. boo!)

The weekend will be spent working, as per usual, but I also have some fun part-ay plans for this evening and a ladies night with my main squeeze for tomorrow. Hopefully I'll get to spend some quality time with the boy as well. This week has been super busy. But I can't complain :). Life is good.

Morning, guys! How are we doing today? Despite the storms yesterday, I'm still in bliss with the weather being as warm as it is, and it's led me to do some serious daydreaming about my Spring wardrobe. I'm not one to normally spend a lot of money on sunglasses, but those Kate Spade stunnas had me at first sight. I'm also seriously debating the Anne Klein white/rose gold watch. I find that Anne Klein watches are always so well priced, and there's such a large selection! Check them out if you haven't yet. Also, in case no one has told you yet, Laura Mercier's illuminating tinted moisturizer is heaven/a miracle in a tube. Thinking I may have to splurge on some again, soon. 

This weekend I'm planning on lots of productivity! I have a couple of projects I want to tend to around the apartment (hopefully I'll be sharing them soon!) and lots and lots of cleaning/organizing/laundry to do. Spring is so renewing. Don't you agree? What are your plans this weekend?

Happy weekend, everyone! I had my first final today. It went surprisingly well! I have two assignments due at midnight this evening, a final paper due Monday, an exam Tuesday,  and two more final papers due Wednesday. Let's all keep our fingers, eyes, toes, etc. crossed until this is all done, shall we? I doubt I'll be looking as cute or as happy as this lovely lady looks while I'm studying this weekend, but a girl can hope.

I saw this Instagram photo on the {Girls of Lincoln Park's}{ Pinterest } and shed a little tear. This is the corner that I lived on with my sister (in a studio, people. Actually, it was more of a walk in closet than a home) but nevertheless, I would love to be spending my weekend on this charming, lively street. 

While that is all just a dream for now, I will be spending this weekend finishing up my entryway project, cleaning, and sprucing up my home in the evenings after work.  I'll be sure to catch you guys up once things are complete. It's been a little crazy around these parts so my poor home has taken a back seat, and needs to be shown some love. I'm excited to hit the thrift stores today to see what goodies I can find :).

That being said, I must go get dressed for job numero uno, so I will have to catch up with you lovelies later. Thank you all so much for stopping in today.

Every Monday  I treat myself to a croissant with my coffee to make the start of the week a little happier, but I skipped that little tradition this week due to a croissant outage at Starbucks. I think I'll make up for it today ;). Someday, I will enjoy this little tradition with a croissant in Paris. Just saying it brings a smile to my face. 

I don't currently have any grand plans for the weekend, other than to hang out with my boy, run some errands, and work, but I'm definitely looking forward to it nevertheless. Hopefully the weather will stay warm and lovely.

Hey lovelies. Happy Friday! Ever since I got a second job the weekends are a little bittersweet for me, but either way, Friday always feels good, doesn't it? 

I'm hoping to get some work done around the apartment (namely cleaning and laundry) and to get in some good relaxation time. Tonight I'm headed to a wine tasting with some lovely ladies, which I'm very excited about! I've never been to one before, so it should be a fun experience.

Doesn't that last photo look absolutely remarkable? A gorgeous view, coffee, and delicious food? Just a little piece of heaven.

{ Tour my Home + Happy Friday! }

Good morning, everyone!

Since I've picked up a few new readers recently who may have missed my apartment pictures in the past, I added a new page to the navigation bar titled "Tour My Space" with a few new (and some old) sneak peaks. I'll keep you posted as I update with more pictures. I think I have FINALLY figured out what bar stools I'm going to get for my kitchen area, but I'm not sure when I'll be getting them. I'm putting myself on a bit of a spending freeze right now to save more money for upcoming ventures. I'll give you details Monday ;).

Morning, everyone! Hows the day going? Glad that Friday has finally arrived? Even though it was technically a short week it seemed to drag on for.ev.er.

Currently, I'm enjoying some breakfast and watching re-runs of The OC. Judge me if you must, but I'm wishing I could do this all day instead of heading into work soon. So many deadlines, so little time. 

This weekend, I plan to relax, catch up with laundry (as per usual, it is my nemesis) and generally enjoy some time off, because if all goes well I'll be starting a second job soon which means my days off will go down to zero. I'll share the deets of it next week, when I'm sure its all going to happen! 

Okay lovelies, time to go get dressed.

I'm off bright and early to catch a flight to Baltimore! I'll be in Charm City until next Wednesday, so pardon me if blog updates are a little scarce until then. I forgot my camera in Cincinnati (doh!) but will be recording my travels via instagram, so be sure to check back!

Happy weekend, everyone! I'm so thrilled to see Friday :). I'm off to work shortly, and then will be grabbing dinner and drinks with a new friend, packing, and getting ready to fly home to Houston in the wee hours of the morning. That doesn't put a damper on my excitement though. I can't wait to see my family. Most especially my mama. I anticipate lots of chocolate truffle making, coffee drinking, runs in the park, furniture browsing, wine, and relaxation.

{ A long weekend...}

I had a wonderful night last night with great friends and woke up this morning feeling extremely tired and extremely blessed.  

I am so looking forward to a blissful Fall weekend.

Trevor's family is coming into town, and I get to play "bed and breakfast" while his sister and her lovely boyfriend stay at my apartment. I'm so happy to have them here and I can't wait for good beer, good people, and good times.

This week has flown by, but that doesn't mean I'm not extremely thankful for Friday.

Between classes, work, homework, and a benefit that I'm currently organizing (which I'll be posting about soon!) I'm officially tired and ready for some relaxation and breakfast in bed. Treasure gets in town tonight, so we'll be hangin' low this evening and joining in on the Halloween festivities tomorrow.

I'll be honest, I'm not really a Halloween fan. It's partially because I love Thanksgiving and Christmas so much that I just WANNA GET THERE ALREADY. I'm not one of those people that goes all out with their costumes, but I do love watching the little kids get all gussied up.

 What about y'all? Halloween?

This weekend is my girl Kate's 21st birthday! I'll be spending the weekend celebrating, drinking cocktails, dancing, and trying to keep my granny self awake past 11pm. There are lots of festivities ahead, so I'll be sure to snap some pictures. It should be a wonderful weekend :).  For now, I'm going to go grab a pumpkin spice latte and get this day started off right!

1. excited to be wearing scarf and boots on my way out to the thrift store (although truth be told, I was quite warm during the whole walk and ended up having to take the scarf off. fooey)
