i've been feeling awfully content lately. not that i don't have a lot on my mind (because let's face it, life will do that to you) but there's a peace that has come with settling into this little life we're making here, and it feels good.
looking around at our half-finished apartment and our adorable (albeit spoiled) dog, the piles of dishes in the sink leftover from our meals together, my walk to work in the mornings, spending my afternoons working on design projects, sitting on the sidelines to cheer trevor on for his saturday football games and starting doggie school with Bentley just makes me feel incredibly grateful. things aren't perfect but i am so, so lucky for this little life of mine.
i lost my phone about a month ago, and it's actually been kind of nice. i'm excited to be back on the map again (hopefully this weekend!) but i've also really enjoyed how much easier it is to be in the moment when i'm not wondering what's happening on instagram or if i've missed any calls or text messages. maybe that's what's responsible for me stopping and smelling the roses lately.
i have a lot of fun projects to share with you, and i promise i will! check back later this week of a recap of a recent design project, and plenty more to come.
